I was born and raised in Lincoln Park Michigan, a suburb of Detroit during one
of the many auto recessions. Attending Western Michigan University in
Kalamazoo, I receiving a degree in applied mathematics and business.
During the fall of 1983, I came to San Francisco to visit friends. I was
immediately bewitched by the city. By the spring of 1984, I returned to the ‘City
by the Bay’ and became a resident. A year later, I met my partner and moved
into our Noe Valley home in 1986.
Professionally, I have been concentrating my career on management and
technology consulting. This web site is focused on my personal interest and
